Lotus Vine, Parrot's Beak

This is a lovely plant for hanging baskets but also looks great when allowed to sprawl on the ground in the flower bed. The flowering period depends on cool nighttime temperatures. Once the evenings warm up, you just get to enjoy the silvery foliage, which is quite nice itself. Hummingbirds are, of course, attracted to the flowers. A perennial only when kept above about 28 Fahrenheit. In cooler climates this plant is treated as an annual.
