Salvia guaranitica

Brazilian Sage

Brazilian Sage is one of the hummingbirds' favorite plants. It is very similar to Salvia guaranitica 'Black and Blue', but some hummingbird enthusiasts claim the hummers prefer this one. Grows well in full sun up here in Washington state, but appreciates some shade in the more southern states. Can spread some by underground roots, so be sure to give it some room or be prepared to pull out the runners now and then.
