Sweet Nectar is a small nursery in SW Washington state, 20 minutes north of Portland, OR. We do not have a retail outlet. You can purchase our plants on this website, or at one of the plant sales in the Portland Metro area that are listed on our calendar.
Our plants are grown naturally. They are never sprayed with insecticides, fungicides or growth hormones that may be harmful to polinators. The plants are sprayed with aerated compost tea regularly to help ward off diseases naturally. Beneficial insects, such as ladybugs and lacewings, are brought in and encouraged to eliminate aphids and other harmful creatures naturally. You can rest assured knowing that there are no residues on, or in, the plants that could harm the butterflies, hummingbirds, bees and other pollinators that use them.
Our plants are grown in 3 1/2 or 4 inch pots using Soil Builders Potting Soil TM , a locally produced, organically-based potting mix. Organic fertilizer is incorporated into this soil mix.
